You can convert writs of seitung, echovald, etc. If I did, I'd have tons. I know a guy who hoard thousands of pvp and wvw reward track potions and used them all in the new repeatable track, that way he got a handful of writs that could be converted to imperial favor. You are correct, its a subtle effect and not worth pursuing specifically. Just consume your luck from salvaging drops as you get them. It is worth boosting during Halloween and Lunar New Year, otherwise don't worry about it.

It took me a little more than 2 years to get to 300%. There is a way to get Luck really quick, use your mystic stones to craft mystic salvage kits, and salvage stacks of ectoplasms. For a stack you will get around 470 Crystalline Dust, and 30,000 Luck (enough to increase 1% on the latter levels of Luck).

Raw gold rewards in this game suck. You won't make significant money just from completing events, gold comes from the drops. Stop saving materials and random items - sell everything (apart from rares that sell less than 90% of ecto price - anything below 35s currently. It’s an insane grind to get the rewards for this festival (Halloween as well). 10-15 snow diamonds for most rewards and I can barely grind out a couple per week doing all the dailies. That’s 10-15k snowflakes per reward, and it’s a struggle to break 1k snowflakes per day just doing the whole daily set (which is not a speedy process).
