The best thing is that guild wars 2 is free (without the expansions) so you don’t need to overthink it and you can just download it and try for yourself. Folks are getting too comfortable not doing mechanics. I dunno if I'm just real unlucky with pugs, but I just finished a daily ToF strike, and people just did NOT want to CC the boss so he kept getting healed, dropped the pools right next to the boss, and just refused to attack the ad walking to the boss. Not just in ToF, too.

A pug comander can ofc ask a guild to join them if there is a difficult group on the map and the guild is there and they mostly will join and help, but in EU that is not really the purpose of guild raids and not what guilds aim ait. They want to fight other guilds.
