Start the bike and let it run for a little bit to circulate the new oil, then shut it off. Hold the bike upright and check the dipstick level. Take a reading with the dipstick resting on the hole of the crankcase - NOT with the dipstick screwed back in. If not enough oil, add just a touch more.

Seems, according to service manual need to replace sealing washer on drain plug, and of course the dealer's parts department closed on Sunday. Anyone know the size of this, so I can just get a seal at an autoparts store or

My service manual says this (and I expect all years are similar, since the clutches really haven't changed): The Castrol oil says this: API SL meets SF and SG requirements.
Lube clutch and brake levers with copper anti-seize to stop pivot hole from elongating. Hardware check - Every 6mo. Chain drive lube - Every 300mi. Rear end pumpkin oil- Done with the engine oil change. Spark plugs - Every 7500mi. If wanting the most high performance. Valves set - Manual, or every 12-15000mi.
Probably a pretty stupid question but I just purchased a Honda 750 Spirit 2006 model. I have committed to not riding it until I take the MSF course in 3 weeks but that doesn't stop me from changing the oil and becoming familiar with the maintenance of it. My question is - is there an oil drain
